Dear Mr. Dougherty:

First, I want to thank you for doing a job beyond any expectations I had when purchasing a home in California.  I have never dealt with an agent who did as much, knew as much and worked on my behalf as much as you.  My idea of a realtor in the six homes I have purchased over the years was someone who had access to listings which were "in my price range".  Any negotiations were always usually by me.  You have changed my mind in what a GOOD real estate agent can do for me.

Not all of my purchases have been new homes with upgrade options.  The two homes I have purchased under this scenario, the agents informed me what upgrades were available and what the total costs were for the upgrades I chose.

ENTER Kevin Dougherty:  When I found the area in which I was interested you researched the surrounding homes to make sure the price asked was accurate and fair.  You then gathered criminal data in and around that area, none of these things I asked of you.

My interest in the townhouse I am looking to purchase is in a subdivision where there is only one builder.  When I found the home I wanted, you helped negotiate upgrades which totaled $39k.   I never knew you could negotiate upgrades!  You negotiated a lower interest rate with the sellers loaning agency, another surprise.  You earmarked sections of the contract with which you were not familiar and had them explained.  You then followed up with me to make sure all forms were completed in a timely manner.

No other real estate agent has ever spent the time you have, worked as hard to get what I wanted at no extra cost and worked to lower the interest rate, positively impacting my payments for the duration of the contract.  To you I say a very heartfelt thank you and if I can ever be of help to you, please let me know.  I will definitely keep you in mind for any future home purchases and will be recommending you to friends and family.  Thank you
